1.0 FTE Grade 4/5Teacher Parkview Elementary This is a temporary assignment effective immediately to June 30, 2027 Qualifications Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Education (Elementary); Valid BC teaching certificate and current membership in the Teacher Regulation Branch. Teachers applying for this position should possess the following attributes: training in elementary education; successful experience teaching at the intermediate level; commitment to ongoing professional development and participation in a school wide emphasis on numeracy; experience teaching a classroom of diverse learners; excellent classroom management experience and skills; knowledge of current instructional practices and renewed curriculum; supportive and knowledgeable about First Peoples' Principles of Learning; ability to differentiate instruction for students with diverse learning needs; willingness to work closely with Principal Learning Resource and Support Teachers to support students' needs; strong interpersonal skills to “connect” with students; strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills; willingness and commitment to contribute to school wide programs including comprehensive numeracy programs , Heggerty and UFLI; ability and commitment to work closely with parents, guardians, and caregivers; demonstrated ability to build staff collective efficacy. Requirements
