This on-site opportunity offers hands-on involvement with mail processing, digital imaging, cheque handling, and scanning technology while working in a collaborative team atmosphere that values accuracy, reliability, and continuous learning.
What is in it for you:
• Hourly salary of $16.75. • 6-month contract with the potential for permanent employment. • Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week. • Weekday schedule from 4 pm-12 am (midnight). • Training is scheduled on the day shift from 8 am-4 pm.
Responsibilities:
• Open, prepare, and categorize incoming mail while analyzing document content to identify the appropriate business area and work type. • Redirect work accurately to the appropriate processing queues to minimize delays and potential financial impacts. • Perform indexing and quality checks of front-end and back-end documents using client policy, account, group number, and client information. • Process cheques and documents according to established procedures, including cheque verification, scanning, indexing, pre-deposit preparation, and deposits. • Operate high-speed document scanners in a fast-paced environment while performing daily software and hardware troubleshooting. • Provide front-line customer service while ensuring service levels are consistently met. • Adapt to changing priorities and fluctuating workloads while maintaining speed, accuracy, and organization. • Assist with projects, effort and time tracking, and administrative duties such as maintaining barcode stock, faxing, photocopying, filing, and managing mail and courier logs. • Verify information on original documents and redirect imaged materials to alternate processing areas through AWD. • Learn and process documents across all business unit lines within Imaging Services.
What you will need to succeed:
• High school diploma completion. • Strong organizational and time management skills in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. • Ability to manage fluctuating workloads and establish short-term priorities. • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, web applications, and scanning equipment. • Experience operating office equipment and troubleshooting minor hardware and software issues. • Ability to maintain confidential information. • Ability to prioritize tasks, multi-task effectively, and remain organized under tight deadlines. • Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced operational environment. • Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency. • Flexibility to work different shifts. • Ability to perform heavy lifting throughout the workday of up to 50 lbs. • Strong communication and language skills with the ability to clearly understand and communicate information. • Personable attitude and ability to contribute positively within a supportive team environment.
