About the role
TM1 Developer Location – Toronto – ON Hybrid Contract Role JD: Designing, implementing and maintaining reliable, scalable and efficient TM1/Planning Analytics Solutions across areas of Finance functions. Developing and supporting TM1/Planning Analytics models, cubes, dimensions and hierarchies within an iterative development environment. Developing Complex TI Processes and Cube Rules. Developing advanced and dynamic Planning Analytics User Interfaces in PAW and PASS Working with cross-functional teams to develop solutions that accelerate cycle times and eliminate cumbersome manual processes Ensuring that technical software development process is followed on the projects, familiar with industry best practices for software development. Demonstrate the ability to adapt and work with team members pf various experience level. Ensuring the operating efficiency of existing application systems. Maintaining records for the documentation of systems development and revisions. Conducting analyses of organizational needs and goals for the development and implementation of application systems WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED? Must have: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field. 3+ years of experience in model building with industry leading EPM technologies (TM1, Anaplan, Oracle Hyperion, OneStream, Adaptive Planning etc); expert skills of Microsoft Excel and Google spreadsheet financial modelling Hands-on experience of financial processes, Financial Planning and Analysis, Forecasting, Cost Allocations, Financial Consolidation etc. In-depth knowledge of multi-dimensionality, Hierarchies, Cubes, Turbo Integrator processes, Cube Rules and Feeders, Active Forms & Websheets, MDX Knowledge of Planning Analytics Workspace (PAW) and Planning Analytics for Excel (PAFE) Ability to apply innovation and advanced technical expertise to find solutions for complex business requirements within the functionality of Planning Analytics product set; develop new design concepts when needed. Strong problem solving, design, and analytical skills and out-of-the-box thinking coming up with creative solutions on testing approaches in critical timelines. Experience working with large data sets of finance, and experience in parallel processing implementation in order to optimize performance; Familiarity with Database Development, SQL Queries, etc Nice-to-have: Exposure to Finance Transformation related projects Experience with Python, TM1Py, REST API, VBA, Java, .NET IBM Planning Analytics (Cognos TM1) Certification Business knowledge of finance and/or accounting principles is a plus
