Contract Details Position Type: Contract Contract Duration: 12 months (with potential for extension) Pay Rate: C$35.00–C$48.00 / Hour (CAD) Shift / Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (37.5 hours per week)
Job Summary The Senior Marketing Designer is responsible for creating high-quality, personalized client communications across digital channels including email, CRM, and app-based messaging. The role involves translating business objectives and briefs into compelling, brand-aligned creative while operating within a regulated financial environment.
The designer will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (marketing, copy, product, compliance) within agile squads, ensuring all designs meet accessibility standards and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include concept development, layout design, production execution, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities Design 1:1 marketing communications (primarily email and digital assets) supporting various personal banking product initiatives within agile squads Support personalized client marketing communications across personal banking products, delivering digital-first campaigns (email, CRM, app/digital messaging) through agile squads aligned to product initiatives Translate business objectives and briefs into compelling, brand-aligned creative Develop concepts and execute layout design and production within a regulated financial environment Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (marketing, copy, product, compliance) within agile squads Ensure all designs meet accessibility standards and regulatory requirements Manage multiple projects simultaneously across multiple pods/squads
Required Skills 5–7 years of design experience Experience in digital design (email, CRM, lifecycle marketing, 1:1 communications) Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality creative work Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) Strong understanding of layout, typography, and visual storytelling Experience working in cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG / AODA) Strong collaboration and stakeholder management Ability to present ideas and incorporate feedback Adaptable, flexible, and comfortable with ambiguity Strong attention to detail and quality control Ability to push back constructively and provide design rationale Excellent time management and prioritization skills
Preferred Skills Experience working in financial services or regulated environments Familiarity with Salesforce / CRM tools Experience with Figma Agency background Exposure to agile/squad-based delivery models
