About the role

Position Summary

Full-Time Administration Contract, replacement position (two-year contract)

At Conestoga, we are transforming our Student Information System (SIS), Human Resources Information System (HRIS), and Finance Information System (FIS) through a C3 - Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation.

Under the direction of the C3 Program Manager, the C3 Project Manager oversees key projects and initiatives supporting the C3 implementation. This role is accountable for capturing requirements, coordinating project team members, administrative activities, and monitoring schedules to keep projects and deliverables on track. The C3 Project Manager will promote organizational standards and the use of project management and tracking tools within the project teams.

Successful candidates will be required to conduct work within Ontario and must be available to work on campus as required. It is anticipated that this position will meet the department's needs through a hybrid work arrangement, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with one day on-site at Conestoga’s King Street office, located at 3065 King Street East, Kitchener and four days remote.

Responsibilities

Project planning

Assess resource requirements and evaluate potential project timelines based on availability. Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation Manage and coordinate access to project resources for internal stakeholders as needed. Collaborate with Managers and technical stakeholders to define and document functional requirements Provide recommendations on project priorities, feasibility, and alignment with overall objectives Identify project dependencies and risks, ensuring they are tracked and reported within project management tools

Project management and execution

Partner with stakeholders to support quality assurance activities, including testing and validation Drive project execution to ensure delivery within established timelines and budget constraints Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and align with client and business needs Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of project-related administrative tasks Provide regular status updates and documentation to the C3 Program Manager Proactively identify, communicate, and escalate risks or issues requiring resolution Oversee multiple concurrent projects supporting the C3 initiative Act as the primary liaison between C3 vendors and internal teams Facilitate recurring project status meetings with stakeholders, including IT Project Managers Support and contribute to change management initiatives

Project close and deliverable transfer

Compile and finalize project documentation to support ongoing maintenance and operational continuity Ensure the development of training materials to enable effective knowledge transfer Lead project close-out meetings to capture lessons learned and recommend process improvements for future initiatives

Qualifications

A three-year diploma or degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Project Management, Information Technology, Cloud Computing or a related field is required Minimum of seven years of progressive experience in project management, within complex enterprise or technology environments is required Background knowledge and understanding in the development, implementation, and coordination of complex enterprise and technology systems, including business and systems analysis and design, project management, database principles, cloud computing, SaaS solutions, infrastructure architecture, and general cybersecurity awareness related to enterprise technology and applications Demonstrated ability to supervise, evaluate, problem solve, plan, negotiate, and liaise effectively, with strong client service, conflict resolution, organizational, and project management skills Excellent interpersonal, communication, leadership, and consultative skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders Proven ability to work in environments with competing priorities, increased demands, limited resources, and changing scope, while managing multiple unrelated projects simultaneously Strong analytical skills with the ability to define problems, collect and interpret data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and develop effective solutions Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks to ensure successful project completion Experience in the higher education sector is considered an asset
