Title: IT Security Program Coordinator / Security Assessment Coordinator Location: Toronto, ON Duration: 6 Months

Key Responsibilities Act as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, managing incoming requests through Jira Service Desk, Outlook, and other service channels. Review and validate security assessment requests, ensuring accuracy and completeness before engagement. Coordinate with third-party vendors, application teams, and internal stakeholders to schedule security assessments and meet compliance requirements. Manage assessment schedules, track milestones, identify risks, and proactively resolve scheduling conflicts. Provide guidance on security assessment processes, policies, standards, issue management, and security-related inquiries. Maintain process documentation, team knowledge repositories, and engagement records. Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and metrics for leadership and audit purposes. Support vendor coordination and administrative activities for the security assessment program.

Required Skills Experience supporting IT operations, PMO, project coordination, or multi-project environments within large organizations. Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and respond to high volumes of requests in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Understanding of information security principles, IT development, SDLC, and secure development practices. Knowledge of project management methodologies and operational processes. Self-driven, organized, and capable of working independently with changing priorities.

Technical Skills Jira Microsoft Outlook Advanced Microsoft Excel

Preferred Qualifications Degree in Communications, Management, Information Technology, or a related field. Familiarity with IT governance, security policies, standards, and best practices. Exposure to industry frameworks such as ISO 27001, CISSP, ISF, or related security standards. Understanding of IT risk, compliance, privacy, and enterprise security concepts. Experience with enterprise collaboration and ticketing platforms such as Jira and Confluence/Connect.
