Scope of the Role: DistillerSR Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable & Payroll Specialist to support our Finance team on a 13-month contract. Reporting to the Senior Controller, this role is responsible for payroll processing, accounts payable administration, Float transaction processing, and employee expense management. Approximate breakdown of role will be 65% accounts payable and 35% payroll responsibilities. This position will be 3 days/week. Duties and Responsibilities: Process semi-monthly payroll using PowerPay, maintain payroll records, and prepare related payroll journal entries/support for review and approval. Process vendor invoices and payments and reconcile vendor accounts. Review and process Float card transactions and employee expense submissions, including follow up on missing receipts and documentation. Maintain prepaid expense schedules and related accounting records. Perform month-end accounts payable reconciliations and support related closing activities. Maintain accurate financial records and resolve payroll, vendor, and employee inquiries. Note: Duties are not limited to those listed above. Additional duties may be assigned as required. However, reasonable consultations with personnel will be made, if possible, under business conditions. Required Skills & Qualifications Diploma or certificate Bookkeeping / Payroll Administration, or a related field. Experience with QuickBooks and Float or similar expense management tools is considered an asset. 2+ years of experience in payroll and accounts payable. Experience using payroll software. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Compensation Hourly rate: $27.83 to $33.13 Term: 13 months, 3 days/week Compensation is determined based on factors such as experience, skills, and overall fit for the role.
