Job Description Salary Range: $42.24 - $54.87 Temporary Full-time (expected to end January 2027) position coordinating and performing examinations in the Mammography and Ontario Breast Screening Program (OBSP). Primarily scheduled day shifts, although occasional evenings, or weekends may be scheduled due to department need. Performs all duties of a Mammography technologist in additional to Senior Technologist responsibilities. The Senior Mammography Technologist is responsible for Efficient flow of the imaging area which includes reviewing and updating patient scheduling processes, ensuring efficient workflow and development and updating of area specific policies and forms. Staff training and oversight and participation in recruitment activities. Assisting in evaluating technologist competency (image critiques). Provision of strong technical support, consultation and interpretation in all aspects of Mammography. Ensuring changes to processes and/or methods are communicated to staff. Participation in investigations, development, recommendations, installation and training associated with new methods, new technology and new construction/renovation. Maintaining inventory and ordering supplies. Ensuring performance of all quality control and maintenance of records as required by regulation or accreditation. Trouble-shooting, arranging equipment service, preventative maintenance, HARP Testing, physics inspections and maintenance of associated records. Ensuring all aspects of the Ontario Breast Screening Program (OBSP) requirements are understood by staff, monitored and adhered to. Ensuring all aspects of the Canadian Association of Radiologists, Mammography Accreditation Program (CAR-MAP) requirements are understood by staff, monitored and adhered to, in order for CMH to maintain active accreditation. Oversight and submission of all requirements/documentation for CAR-MAP and OBSP. Chair and oversee the Mammography Accreditation and Quality Assurance Committee. Participation on committees as imaging area representative. Posted hours do not constitute a guarantee that shifts will not be subject to change. The physical demands of the role may include but are not limited to prolonged standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing and pulling. Skills and Qualifications: Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario in Radiography is required Registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists preferred Must be an accredited Technologist with the Ontario Breast Screening Program Minimum of 5 years of current Mammography experience including Tomography and all breast interventional procedures is required Demonstrated excellence in breast positioning to consistently produce high quality mammograms Experience leading efficient flow of an imaging area to meet department goals and provide exceptional patient experience would be considered an asset Demonstrated commitment to the pursuit of continuing education Demonstrated ability to work responsibly in a team environment Effective problem-solving skills, critical thinking and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced clinical environment Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving and team-building skills Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) are essential.
