Course Description/Relevant Employment Duties:

An examination of the integrated neural and vascular factors in regulating blood pressure and blood flow, with a focus on mechanisms underlying maintaining cardiovascular homeostasis during exercise. Emphasis is placed on adopting integrative approaches to learning in order to appreciate how several systems work together to achieve and maintain cardiovascular homeostasis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching lectures and organizing labs for the course (lab duties can be covered by TAs if they are appropriately trained by instructor). The successful candidate will be responsible for developing course materials; however, the previous course instructor will make available their course materials (e.g., lecture notes, presentation slides, etc.) should the candidate wish to refer to them.

Required Qualifications:

PhD (preferred) in Kinesiology or related discipline with expertise in cardiovascular physiology and experience in the construction and delivery of undergraduate courses related to cardiovascular and exercise physiology and autonomic nervous system reflexes.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in the instruction of similar course material.

Pay Transparency Statement
