IT Project Manager Cyber Security Projects Location: Toronto, ON

Onsite Flexibility: Hybrid — 2–3 days in office per week (Monday or Tuesday, with Friday as a potential third day); subject to change

Contract Details Position Type: Contract Contract Duration: 12 months (with potential for extension or conversion to FTE) Pay Rate: C$80.00–C$85.00 / Hour (CAD) Shift / Schedule: 37.5 hours/week, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday Overtime: Overtime may be available on weekends and evenings depending on project phase; requires Hiring Manager approval


Job Summary The main function of an IT Project Manager is to oversee the application of project management methodology during all phases of the project cycle, with responsibilities that include project design, scope management, cost control, quality and performance reporting. This role sits within the centralized PMO delivering all infrastructure-related projects across the bank, supporting all lines of business. The team specifically focuses on security-related projects, including cybersecurity, corporate security, and end user security. The contractor will manage cybersecurity projects across multiple sub-streams simultaneously, collaborating daily with security and infrastructure engineering teams, intake and solution design teams, business sponsors and business leads, and third-party vendors.


Key Responsibilities Define test plans and ensure that products are defect free before User Acceptance Testing. Develop, track and manage project budget, project plans, timelines and scope. Effectively oversee project staff (direct reports, matrixed reports, contractors, and interns), delegating work to appropriate leads. Efficiently communicate to stakeholders to manage expectations and project progress. Ensure appropriate systems development and project management processes are being utilized. Ensure that necessary risk assessments are continually reviewed and monitored and proactively addressed in a timely fashion. Facilitate the User Acceptance Testing process, developing rollout plans and procedures. Lead teams of developers in the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet business needs. Make presentations to steering committees or project sponsors. Manage medium to large scale projects working collaboratively with business stakeholders, vendors, and technical resources. Manage project resources including procuring project staff, developing, motivating, coaching and advising. Partner closely with other members of functional project teams to define business requirements. Prepare and present cost-benefit analyses. Successfully plan, execute, control and close projects against defined scope and budget using established procedures and policies.

Preferred Skills PMP Certification Familiarity with ServiceNow for ITSM Working knowledge of security and cloud technologies Prior experience using Planview or Clarity as a Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tool Cyber security technologies certification or working towards certification


Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or related field required MBA or other related advanced degree preferred PMP or PMI certification (preferred)


Required Experience 8–10 years of overall IT project management experience 5–7 years of experience as noted in qualifications


Important Notes Disqualifiers: Candidates with purely business project management backgrounds, no infrastructure project management experience, or lack of exposure to technical/security environments will not be considered. Interview Process: 1 in-person interview.
