EDC Student Internships - General Stream
We are actively recruiting early career professionals for the 2026 Fall Semester in a variety of teams looking for students in Commerce, Technology and Analytics, Finance, Communications, Marketing, Project Management, Human Resources and related fields. Teams you may be selected to interview with will vary, and a more detailed team description will be sent to you if you are selected for an interview.
This Candidate Pool is exclusively for students currently enrolled in post-secondary studies and who are only available for a 4-month term from September to December 2026. If you are not enrolled, or if you have availability greater than 4 months, we encourage you to explore our other campus opportunities on our website.

Student Opportunities
Our student development opportunities include work terms and co-op programs designed to give your career a head start. All roles in this stream are strictly for four-month terms from September to December 2026, without the possibility of extension. While most roles are full-time, there is flexibility for part-time work. Please note that work in our program can be counted towards an accredited co-op program with your university or college.

- Pursuing studies in commerce, business, technology, analytics, finance, accounting, marketing, communications, project management, and human resources or related fields.
Our Ideal Student:
- Currently enrolled in post-secondary studies.
- Previous work term experience related to their field of study
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Motivated self-starter, good organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Enthusiasm to tackle any task, whether menial or complex
- Knowledge of both official languages is an asset and may be required for certain positions

We will be contacting candidates on a rolling basis from July through August 2026 for interviews, dependent on business needs.
Compensation Details:
Student, New Grad & Master’s salaries range from $42,900 to $54,600 annually, based on year of study. Please see the salary breakdown by year of study below:

1st Year: $42,900 ($22.00/hour)

2nd Year: $44,850 ($23.00/hour)

3rd Year: $46,800 ($24.00/hour)

4th Year and Beyond: $48,750 ($25.00/hour)

Export Development Canada operates in a hybrid work environment, with a current requirement of two in-office days per week, increasing to three days per week in September 2026 (subject to change).

Opportunities may be performed from EDC’s headquarters in Ottawa or from one of our Community Hubs located in Toronto, Mississauga, Montreal, Brossard, Laval, Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, or Vancouver
