Job Title: Warehouse Worker Location:6225 Millcreek Drive, Mississauga, ON L5N 0G2, Canada (Toronto Distribution Centre) Duration: 6 Months Shift Timing: Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM EST Pay Rate: $19/hr
Position Overview We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Worker to support receiving, shipping, inventory management, and warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, handling materials safely, and contributing to team performance goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving & Inspection Unpack incoming customer shipments. Prepare tools and equipment for the next stage of the repair process. Accurately receive and log inventory using SAP (training provided). Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and completeness.
- Shipping & Fulfillment Prepare, package, and process outbound shipments. Ensure all shipping documentation and labeling are accurate. Complete hazardous materials (Hazmat) paperwork for UPS, FedEx, and LTL shipments. Coordinate shipment readiness to meet delivery timelines.
- Inventory & Material Handling Assist with warehouse inventory control and stock management. Organize and maintain spare parts and packaging materials. Replenish packaging supplies to ensure operational efficiency. Support truck loading/unloading activities and material movement.
- Workplace Organization & Safety Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment following 5S principles: Sort Set in Order Shine Standardize Sustain Follow all workplace safety procedures and regulations. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives using LEAN methodologies.
- Team Collaboration & Performance Meet departmental productivity and quality KPIs. Collaborate effectively with team members and cross-functional departments. Perform additional warehouse-related duties as assigned. Demonstrate accountability, urgency, and commitment to operational excellence.
Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Skills Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn software systems. Comfortable using warehouse technology and inventory systems. Experience operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks is preferred. Core Competencies Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Effective verbal communication skills. Work Environment Temperature-controlled warehouse (heated and air-conditioned). Workshop environment may include exposure to: Noise Dust Airborne particles Fast-paced warehouse operations with regular physical activity.
Safety Requirements Employees must comply with all company safety policies and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards, including: Proper handling and labeling of hazardous materials. Mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including: Steel-toe safety boots Safety glasses Gloves Additional protective equipment as required
Physical Requirements Regular lifting of items weighing 50+ lbs. Occasional lifting of items up to 75 lbs. Frequent standing for extended periods. Repetitive bending, reaching, and lifting. Ability to climb ladders and move throughout the warehouse safely. Participation in loading, unloading, and material handling activities. Education High School Diploma or GED preferred.
