About the role
Temporary position for 12 months.
As a senior business continuity advisor, you participate in coordinating Desjardins Group’s business continuity monitoring program. You serve as a second line of defence specialist and provide business sectors with cross-sector support. You actively participate in initiatives to optimize monitoring methodology by designing and operationalizing controls. With other team members, you coordinate the implementation of controls and follow up with the business sectors’ action plans. You also participate in developing and implementing new approaches to operational resilience. More specifically, you will be required to:
- Participate in developing all activities required to implement Desjardins Group’s business continuity monitoring program
- Support the first line of defence in rolling out business continuity best practices and carrying out operational projects
- Implement awareness and training mechanisms in business continuity and ensure their delivery
- Follow up as needed on action plan developments with the first line of defence
- Perform effective challenges of risk analyses performed by the first line of defence
- Participate in the drafting of business continuity management governance documents and procedures based on the guidelines of the Autorité des marchés financiers and other regulators
- Participate in the drafting of accountability reports
- Help develop and implement new approaches to operational resilience

What you bring to the table
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- A minimum of eight years of relevant experience, including five years in operational risk management or business continuity
- Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Experience in executive writing and presenting
- Knowledge of French is required
- Knowledge of the three lines of defence model
