We are building a trusted network of skilled freelance technicians across Canada to support service calls, installations, upgrades, and client projects. We are currently looking for experienced Audio/Visual & TV Wall Mounting Technicians who can represent Aurxio professionally and deliver clean, safe, and high-quality installations. Position Overview We are hiring freelance technicians with strong hands-on experience in TV wall mounting, audio/video setup, home theatre systems, soundbar installation, display mounting, and related AV solutions. This position is ideal for technicians, installers, subcontractors, and independent service professionals who already have field experience and want additional project-based work. The technician must be confident working in residential homes, condos, offices, retail spaces, clinics, restaurants, hospitality environments, and commercial properties. Main Responsibilities Install TVs and displays on different wall types, including drywall, wood studs, concrete, brick, and masonry. Install all common TV mount types, including fixed mounts, tilting mounts, full-motion mounts, pull-down mounts, ceiling mounts, and motorized mounts. Install and set up soundbars, surround sound systems, AV receivers, speakers, media devices, and home theatre equipment. Perform clean cable management using raceways, in-wall cabling, cable concealment, and proper routing methods where applicable. Mount commercial displays, menu boards, office screens, conference room displays, and digital signage screens. Connect and configure basic AV equipment, including HDMI, optical audio, ARC/eARC, streaming devices, gaming consoles, receivers, and speaker systems. Inspect the site before installation and confirm safe mounting locations, stud positions, wiring paths, and client expectations. Provide professional service, clean workmanship, and a respectful customer experience. Take before-and-after photos where required for project records. Communicate clearly with Aurxio dispatch, project coordinators, and clients. Required Experience Strong experience in professional TV wall mounting. Experience with residential and commercial AV installations. Ability to install fixed, tilting, full-motion, pull-down, and motorized TV mounts. Knowledge of wall structure, stud finding, anchors, mounting safety, and load ratings. Experience with soundbars, surround sound systems, AV receivers, speakers, and basic home theatre setup. Ability to perform clean cable management and basic wire concealment. Must have your own basic tools, drill, level, stud finder, hand tools, and transportation. Must be reliable, punctual, professional, and comfortable working directly with clients. Ability to follow job notes, service instructions, and installation standards. Preferred Additional Skills Experience in any of the following is considered an asset: CCTV camera installation Low-voltage cabling Data and network cabling Smart home device installation Intercom or video doorbell installation Commercial display or digital signage installation Ideal Candidate The ideal technician is someone who takes pride in clean workmanship, understands the importance of customer trust, and can complete installations safely and professionally. You should be comfortable working independently, solving site challenges, and representing Aurxio with a professional attitude. Work Arrangement This is a freelance / subcontractor position. Jobs are assigned based on location, availability, experience, and project requirements. Work may include one-time service calls, recurring installation requests, commercial projects, and residential appointments.
