Pay range: CAD $51/hr - $53/hr Schedule: Mon – Fri Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced AV Support Technician to join our Workplace Technology team. In this role, you will be the frontline expert for conference room audiovisual (AV) technology, ensuring meeting spaces operate seamlessly in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. You will perform proactive AV health checks, troubleshoot conference room technology, support employees during meetings, and build new conference rooms from the ground up. You will also provide occasional support for internal company events alongside the events team. The ideal candidate is collaborative, detail-oriented, curious, and passionate about AV and IT technologies. They enjoy solving technical challenges while delivering an outstanding end-user experience. Key Responsibilities Conference Room AV Support Perform daily AV sweeps of conference rooms to proactively identify and resolve issues before meetings begin. Support employees using conference room AV systems, both onsite and remote, including Google Meet, projectors, displays, and audio/video conferencing equipment. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Google Meet hardware and software, including room kits, cameras, and in-room controllers. Support and maintain Logitech Rally products, including cameras, speakers, microphones, Rally Bar, and Rally Bar Mini. Support and troubleshoot Neat Bar Pro systems, including connectivity, firmware, and audio/video performance. Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Logitech room scheduling displays to ensure accurate room availability and booking status. Escalate complex issues appropriately while continuously improving the end-user experience. Train employees on the proper use of conference room AV equipment. Respond to IT Help Desk support requests through ticketing systems and provide in-person assistance as needed. Manage AV and IT hardware inventory, including spare equipment, consumables, and asset tracking. Conference Room Installation & Troubleshooting Install and configure new conference rooms, including mounting displays and cameras, running and terminating cabling, and provisioning room hardware. Configure, calibrate, and maintain conference room audio systems, including DSPs, mixers, microphones, and speakers. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, and scheduling issues affecting conference room functionality. Document room configurations, equipment inventories, and signal flow diagrams. Assist with cabling, rack builds, and low-voltage wiring for new or renovated conference rooms. Event Support Assist with AV setup, breakdown, and onsite support for internal meetings and company events. Provide backup support for live events such as town halls, webinars, and company-wide meetings under the direction of the events team. Event production leadership is not required; responsibilities are limited to supporting the event team. Documentation & Continuous Improvement Create and maintain knowledge base articles, runbooks, and standard operating procedures for conference room AV systems. Monitor AV system health using remote management tools and perform firmware and software updates. Coordinate with external vendors for AV equipment procurement, repairs, installations, and preventative maintenance. Stay current with emerging AV and unified communications technologies and recommend system improvements. Required Qualifications 3–5+ years of experience in IT and AV support, with a strong focus on conference room technology. Hands-on experience supporting Logitech Rally products (cameras, microphones, speakers, Rally Bar, Rally Bar Mini). Experience supporting Neat Bar Pro or similar all-in-one video conferencing systems. Experience configuring and troubleshooting Logitech room scheduling displays. Strong experience troubleshooting Google Meet hardware and software in conference room environments. Demonstrated experience installing and configuring conference rooms, including mounting equipment, cabling, testing, and deployment. Excellent customer service skills with a positive, service-oriented attitude. Strong troubleshooting, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities in live meeting environments. Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Basic to intermediate networking knowledge, including switches, Wi-Fi, servers, and AV-over-IP concepts. Experience administering Apple devices using enterprise management tools. Experience supporting Windows laptops and desktop environments. Experience working with enterprise ticketing systems. Familiarity with AV signal types and connectors such as HDMI, SDI, Dante, USB-C, and AV-over-IP. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to support users of varying technical skill levels. Previous experience assisting with live event support is a plus but not required. Preferred Qualifications AVIXA CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) certification or actively pursuing certification. Experience with additional conferencing platforms such as Poly, Yealink, Crestron, or similar technologies. Experience with control systems such as Crestron, Extron, or Q-SYS. Experience with audio DSP platforms including Q-SYS, Biamp, or Extron. Ability to read and interpret AV signal flow diagrams and technical schematics. Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and hands-on experience.
