Course Description/Relevant Employment Duties:

This placement course provides students in Honours Kinesiology the opportunity to explore different research laboratory experiences within the Department of Kinesiology. Students will complete a final paper related to the research laboratory experience. Students are responsible for arranging a suitable laboratory experience and supervision (from a Kinesiology faculty member).

The instructor will be responsible for liaising with all faculty supervisors associated with the course, delivery of in-person lectures, and will be expected to follow the current assessment structure used for the course (Winter 2026 Course Outline).

Required Qualifications:

PhD. in Kinesiology (preferred) or related discipline with research based experiential education experience. Successful candidate will be responsible for developing course content, however the current course instructor will make available all course materials (e.g., lecture notes, presentation slides, etc.) should the candidate wish to refer to them.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience coordinating and/or teaching a research based experiential education course.
