Senior Product Designer (Capital Markets) Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 4 days onsite) Duration: 6-Month Contract (Extension Possible) Rate: $70–84/hr Inc. Start: ASAP Overview Our financial services client is seeking a Senior Product Designer to support a large-scale FX Modernization initiative within Capital Markets. Working alongside product managers, developers, and business stakeholders, you will design intuitive, user-centered experiences for complex trading applications while contributing throughout the full product design lifecycle. Responsibilities Create user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using Figma Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions Translate business and user requirements into intuitive product experiences Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders in an Agile environment Rapidly iterate on designs based on user and stakeholder feedback Contribute to and maintain design systems and UI standards Prepare design specifications and support implementation through development handoff Present design concepts and communicate solutions to cross-functional teams Required Qualifications 3+ years of Product Design or UX/UI Design experience Strong proficiency with Figma Experience designing transactional or enterprise applications Experience conducting user research and usability testing Mobile native design experience (iOS and/or Android) Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience Nice to Have Capital markets, trading platform, or financial services experience Experience working with AI-assisted design tools Degree in HCI, UX, Graphic Design, or a related discipline Ideal Candidate Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design and shipped digital products Comfortable working directly with business stakeholders and engineering teams Thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced Agile environment Able to balance user needs with complex business requirements
