Job Title: Powertrain Engine OBD Calibration Engineer Job Duration: 12 months contract with possible extension Est. Pay Range: $40 - $42.50 (CAD) hourly on T4 Work Type: Onsite at Windsor, ON, N8W 5B5 (Potential for Hybrid schedule)

Overview/ Responsibilities: The Powertrain Engine OBD Calibration Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing best practice calibration solutions and performing diagnostic verification testing. The Powertrain Engine OBD Calibration Engineer will manage all technical aspects of the OBD diagnostic calibrations to meet CARB regulations, identify system requirements during system hardware design to insure a robust diagnostic system, use standard instrumentation toolsets for data acquisition, storage, and analysis, calibrate diagnostic thresholds to meet CARB regulations, and provide regular overview summaries and detailed reports on specific assignments, including timing projections. The Candidate should expect to travel 2 - 4 weeks throughout the year for system validation/verification. The Engineers report directly to Supervisors and operate under the general direction of the Department Manager.

Key Technical Requirements Must-have skills: 0 - 3 years' of experience required OBD (On-Board Diagnostics) experience preferred. MATLAB & Simulink (ability to read models is required; minor modifications are a plus). Experience with INCA or similar data acquisition/calibration tools. Basic understanding of gasoline/internal combustion propulsion systems. Diagnostics, safety diagnostics, and emissions calibration experience are highly desirable. Role Responsibilities Approximately 80% hands-on vehicle testing. Perform OBD calibration, diagnostics, and emissions testing. Analyze MATLAB/Simulink models and provide feedback to controls engineers when calibration updates are needed. Support calibration refinement across different vehicle applications. Work with both legacy and new engine software as needed.

Travel Travel to Colorado is required a few times per year. Typical duration is one week per trip.
