About the role

Company Description Flare Events is Canada’s premier off-app dating company, offering unique experiences for singles to foster real connections. Since 2019, Flare has organized speed dating events, mixers, and provided curated matchmaking and dating coaching services. With a presence in cities all across Canada, Flare has become a trusted name in dating. By blending community, design, and technology, our mission is to create authentic spaces for singles to connect without the need for swiping.

The Role Flare is looking for a creative and highly organized Organic Social Media & Brand Growth Lead to strengthen our organic social presence and expand awareness of our full range of services. This is a hands-on contract role for someone who can develop original ideas, create engaging content, build collaborations, and manage projects from concept through publication. You will help position Flare as more than an events company by creating content around matchmaking, coaching, modern dating, relationships, customer experiences, company growth, and real-world connection.

What You’ll Do Develop and manage Flare’s organic social strategy across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other relevant platforms. Create original content concepts, recurring series, campaigns, and social-first initiatives. Write scripts, captions, hooks, interview questions, and supporting copy in Flare’s brand voice. Film, edit, and publish short-form video content. Create static posts, carousels, stories, reels, and lightweight graphics. Repurpose content effectively across platforms while adapting it to each audience. Coordinate content contributions from Flare’s leadership, dating specialists, event teams, customers, and partners. Attend or arrange coverage of selected events to capture authentic content. Increase awareness of Flare’s events, matchmaking, coaching, membership, technology, and other services. Identify and coordinate organic collaborations with creators, brands, venues, media personalities, and community organizations. Engage with comments, messages, mentions, and relevant external conversations. Track performance and provide practical insights and recommendations based on results.

What We’re Looking For 3+ years of experience in organic social media, content marketing, or brand-led audience growth. A strong portfolio showing original content creation and measurable results. Proven ability to create short-form video from concept through filming and editing. Excellent writing, storytelling, and communication skills. Strong knowledge of major social platforms and current content formats. Experience developing campaigns, recurring content series, collaborations, or community initiatives. Strong creative judgment and an understanding of what earns attention and engagement. Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and consistently meet deadlines. Comfort appearing on camera occasionally or directing others on camera. Good judgment when handling sensitive topics involving dating, relationships, identity, safety, and customer experiences. Experience with lifestyle, hospitality, events, consumer services, multi-city brands, geographic expansion, Canva, CapCut, or Adobe Creative Suite is an asset.

Who Will Thrive in This Role You are proactive, creative, and comfortable working with significant ownership. You generate ideas without waiting for every concept to be assigned, understand the difference between polished content and effective content, and can balance brand building with business results.

Compensation, Hours & Structure This is a contractor position with the possibility to move into a permanent opportunity Open to part-time (20hrs/week) Compensation of $20-$25/hr based on experience
