Digital Designer (9-Month Contract, Potential Extension)
We're looking for a Digital Designer to join our creative production team on a 9-month contract with the potential for extension. This role is ideal for a designer who thrives in a fast-paced digital environment and has experience creating compelling, performance-driven creative for DTC, ecommerce, retail, or consumer brands.
You'll play a key role in developing high-quality creative across paid social, ecommerce, digital campaigns, email, landing pages, and other digital marketing initiatives. Working closely with our Creative Director, strategists, account managers, designers, and clients, you'll transform creative concepts and marketing objectives into engaging digital experiences that drive results. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for design, typography, composition, and digital storytelling, with an understanding of what makes creative perform across today's social and digital platforms. Experience with motion design and animation is considered a strong asset. Portfolio required to be considered.
The Role As a Digital Designer, you'll create engaging digital assets from concept through final delivery for a diverse portfolio of ecommerce brands. You'll collaborate with strategists, marketers, and fellow creatives to develop work that not only looks exceptional but also supports measurable business outcomes. You'll work across a variety of digital touchpoints including paid social advertising, ecommerce websites, email marketing, landing pages, digital campaigns, and brand initiatives. This role requires someone who understands platform best practices, user behaviour, and performance marketing while maintaining a high level of creative craft. You'll also contribute to creative ideation, collaborate closely with the broader creative team, and stay on top of evolving design trends, AI tools, and emerging digital experiences.
Key Responsibilities Design high-quality digital creative across paid social, ecommerce, email marketing, websites, landing pages, and digital campaigns. Translate creative briefs and marketing objectives into visually compelling digital assets. Create static and digital advertising creative for Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Google, and other digital platforms. Design social media content, display ads, email graphics, website banners, landing pages, presentations, and marketing collateral. Collaborate with creative strategists and marketing teams to develop high-performing creative concepts. Maintain brand consistency while adapting creative for different audiences, channels, and campaign objectives. Create scalable design systems and templates that improve production efficiency and consistency. Work alongside copywriters, motion designers, and video editors to create cohesive cross-channel campaigns. Participate in creative brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas and visual directions. Incorporate feedback quickly while managing multiple projects and deadlines. Stay current with trends in digital design, ecommerce, social media, AI-powered creative tools, and performance marketing.
What We’re Looking For 3–5 years of professional graphic design experience. Experience working within a DTC ecommerce, retail, consumer brand, or agency environment preferred. A portfolio showcasing digital design, paid social creative, branding, and campaign work. Strong conceptual thinker with the ability to take ideas from strategy through final execution. Excellent understanding of typography, layout, hierarchy, composition, and visual storytelling and an understanding of digital design principles and performance creative best practices. Ability to create visually compelling work while considering business goals and conversion objectives. Proficiency in Figma & the Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, and some After Effects/Premiere. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with creative, client-facing, and cross-functional teams. Comfortable receiving feedback, iterating quickly, and adapting creative based on evolving priorities.
Bonus Qualifications Candidates with motion design experience are strongly encouraged to apply. Experience with: After Effects and motion graphics workflows. Creating animated social ads, kinetic typography, and motion assets for digital campaigns. Designing social-first creative for Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and other digital platforms. Premiere Pro or other video editing software. UGC, influencer marketing, and performance creative. AI-powered creative and design tools that improve ideation, production, and creative workflows. Basic understanding of UX/UI design principles and designing for responsive digital experiences.
