NOW HIRING - Pool Attendant (Seasonal) Grand Harbour Marina | Lagoon City, ON Spend your summer on the waterfront! Grand Harbour Marina is looking for a friendly, responsible, and customer-focused Pool Attendant to help oversee our members' pool facility and provide an exceptional guest experience throughout the summer season. Pool Attendant Responsibilities As a Pool Attendant at Grand Harbour Marina, you will play an important role in providing our members and guests with a clean, safe, welcoming, and enjoyable recreation experience.

Primary Responsibilities Supervise the pool deck and ensure members and guests follow all posted pool rules and safety regulations. Monitor the pool and surrounding area for cleanliness, safety, and potential hazards. Perform regular pool water testing and maintain accurate daily water quality records. Assist with pool opening and closing procedures each day. Set up, organize, and maintain pool furniture, umbrellas, and common areas. Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting members with questions and requests.

Kiosk Operations Operate the pool kiosk and process food, beverage, snack, and merchandise sales. Provide friendly customer service to all kiosk patrons. Complete nightly cash reconciliation and balancing of daily sales. Ensure the kiosk remains clean, organized, fully stocked, and presentable throughout each shift. Monitor inventory levels and advise management when supplies require replenishment.

Facility Maintenance Maintain washrooms and change room facilities throughout the day. Ensure bathrooms remain clean, sanitized, and fully stocked with paper products, soap, and other supplies. Empty garbage and recycling as required. Report maintenance issues or supply shortages promptly.

Recreation Equipment Manage the sign-out and return of recreational equipment available to members, including: Cornhole boards Lawn games Recreational sports equipment Other member amenities Keep accurate records of equipment sign-outs and returns. Inspect equipment for damage and report missing or damaged items.

Safety & Operations Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow all established emergency procedures. Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, incidents, or accidents immediately. Assist with maintaining a safe, welcoming, and family-friendly environment. Work closely with Harbour Hosts and marina staff to deliver an exceptional member experience.

Qualifications Friendly, outgoing, and professional. Strong customer service and communication skills. Self-motivated and able to work independently. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills. Able to work independently with minimal supervision. Comfortable handling cash and completing daily cash reconciliations. Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Must be dependable, punctual, and trustworthy. Must be available to work weekends and statutory holidays. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs is considered an asset.

Preferred Qualifications ✔ First Aid & CPR Certification (strong asset) ✔ Previous experience working in a pool, campground, marina, resort, hospitality, recreation, or customer service environment. ✔ Experience operating a POS (Point of Sale) system and handling cash. ✔ WHMIS training is considered an asset.
