Horizon Health Network (Horizon) is seeking a, motivated, detail-oriented, adaptable, individual to join our team as a Contract Physician Coordinator The ideal candidate will have experience providing management and administrative support services in a health care setting.

Who You Are

You have worked in a health care administration or management role for a minimum of 3 years and hold a bachelor's degree or college diploma in health care administration or a Health-related field. Experience and application of LEAN Six Sigma tools/training, and/or leadership education based on the LEADS in a caring environment framework would be beneficial. You are proficient in Microsoft Office applications. You have demonstrated leadership and communication skills (oral and written), demonstrated problem solving, change management, conflict resolution and time management skills, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to act as a change agent. You have the ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with a variety of health care providers, including nurses, physicians, managers and staff from other disciplines.

Responsibilities

What you will do

Physician Onboarding and Office Setup

Ensuring that purchases, requisitions, and office arrangements are compliance with funding policies. Assisting with securing office space internally or externally. Evaluating and arranging IT requirements. Purchasing clinical equipment, materials, and furniture. Arranging ergonomic assessments. Liaising with external agencies and arranging business/service agreements. Liaising with Medicare for items relevant to onboarding and physician office maintenance. Arranging for Electronic Medical Record (EMR), implementation, training and applicable maintenance.

Human Resources Management

Hiring and management of clinical administrative supports. Posting & Screening candidates. Onboarding new hires. Performance appraisals and coaching. Problem solving. Performance management. Application of the CUPE Collective Agreement.

Administrative Coordination

Securing document storage as required. Working with vendors to secure items and services related to clinical or offices. Preparing technical and administrative reports. Develop and maintain budgets, conduct financial analysis and reporting. Any other work assigned.
