The St. Clair Student Representative Council RC is seeking high energy, dynamic student individuals to join our Promo Team to help with communicating with students about our brand, services, events, and opportunities for the 2024-2025 academic year, both in-person and on social media! Job Description Do you love sharing your day-to-day life on Instagram and want to promo events and student life at St. Clair to your peers? Do you want to be in-the-know about what’s going on around campus and meet people from an array of programs? We're looking to hire students at our South Campus and Downtown Campus to take on these roles for both in-person and virtual hours. Must be a full-time St. Clair College student to apply.

Qualities Have excellent communication skills. This position requires you to have strong interpersonal communication skills. Strong, clear and effective public speaking skills are an imperative quality. Social Media Knowledge. This position requires you to have extensive experience operating various social media platforms for the purpose of promotion and engagement. Specific platform experience with Instagram. Multi-Tasking and Prioritizing Skills. This position will present you with multiple tasks to complete weekly, you must determine what assignments require priority and complete by deadlines. Many of the programs and events you will be promoting are time sensitive, therefore, meeting deadlines and event times/starts is imperative. Positive Image/Brand. This position requires the use of your personal Instagram account; therefore you must portray a friendly, enthusiastic persona and present yourself in a professional manner at all times throughout your contact, not just while posting SRC related content. Duties You must have the ability to use a variety of Instagram features, especially creating video content to increase engagement and create visually appealing graphics that students want to consume/not skip over. Responsible for promoting, interacting, and engaging with students to increase visibility and attendance of all SRC events. Weekly objectives will be set and determined by the Manager, Student Experience and shared with the team member. Candidate must sign contract with SRC per academic year and submit an end of semester report detailing a summary of all social media posts and engagement numbers in-order to continue with good employment standing. Candidate must have a public Instagram profile for duration of contract. Putting up/taking down promotional posters around campus buildings. Talking to students face-to-face about upcoming events/opportunities/services. Working SRC booths or tables to assist with SRC Board of Directors with initiatives and events. Benefits Commitment: ~10 hours per week – ~5 hours dedicated to online promo and ~4 hours dedicated to in-person promo on campus.
