About the role
We are hiring an Intermediate Software Developer with mandatory ServiceNow certifications (CSA + CAD) and 5+ years of experience in ServiceNow ITSM and request management to develop, improve, and optimize the procurement request catalog and workflows in ServiceNow. This is a hybrid role (3 days onsite at Metro Hall, 55 John Street, Toronto, ON) for an initial 6-month mandate (with a possible 6-month extension).

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Science, or related field. 5+ years’ experience with ServiceNow ITSM and request management. Skilled in designing and developing ServiceNow workflows and forms of varying complexity to support request fulfillment processes. Strong understanding of: Request Management lifecycle Integration with ITSM modules Proficient in JavaScript and ServiceNow development constructs: Business Rules Client Scripts GlideRecord Script Includes Experience with: ServiceNow Flow Designer Scheduled Jobs Notifications for automation and integration Managing certificate inventory and related ServiceNow flows Proficient in creating: Dashboards Reports to support operational and strategic decision-making. Adherence to ServiceNow development best practices for scalable and maintainable solutions. Strong in: ServiceNow workflows Reporting Dashboards Analytics Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and stakeholders. You Will Be Part Of The Platform Team To Develop, Improve, And Optimize The Current Existing Request Catalog For The Procurement Team
Work with the Procurement team to analyze: Existing procurement workflows Approvers within ServiceNow Develop and configure ServiceNow modules to automate and standardize procurement processes. Implement compliance controls and audit trails. Create dashboards and reports to improve visibility and support data-driven decisions. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with: Business requirements Governance policies Participate in planning and estimating activities required to test: New solutions Enhanced applications Migrated tools Deliverables
Procurement Workflow Analysis Report Documentation of current procurement workflows, approval chains, and catalog structure Identification of inefficiencies, gaps, and improvement opportunities Updated Request Catalog Design Redesigned catalog items aligned with procurement needs Streamlined user interface and improved form usability Automated Procurement Workflows Configured and deployed ServiceNow workflows for procurement requests Integration with approval processes and business rules Compliance & Audit Trail Implementation Embedded compliance controls within workflows Automated logging and tracking for audit readiness Dashboards & Reporting Suite Dashboards for procurement team and leadership Reports covering: Request volumes Approval times SLA adherence Compliance metrics Technical Documentation Developer-level documentation of configurations, scripts, and workflows User guides for procurement team and requesters Code Artifacts JavaScript scripts Business Rules Client Scripts GlideRecord queries Script Includes used in the solution Flow Designer configurations Scheduled Jobs Testing & Validation Logs Unit and integration test results UAT feedback and resolution tracking Deployment Plan Step-by-step deployment checklist Rollback strategy Post-deployment support plan Stakeholder Review Summary Meeting notes and feedback from procurement and platform teams Final sign-off documentation Notes
