TekStaff's Client has a current vacancy for a Cloud Engineer/Infrastructure Engineer Duration : 6 months

Job DescriptionTypical Day in Role: Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge. You will research, design, test and deploy Cloud Infrastructure on Dell vxRail, Powerflex solutions.

You will research, design, test and deploy Cloud Platform on VMware Cloud Foundation, On-prem VMware vSphere, vRealize Suite, GCVE.

You will research, design, test and deploy Migration Solution (e.g. VMware HCX, Platespin etc.), work with migration team and project manager to define or generate data migration checklist to migrate VMware VMs from on-prem to GCVE Working with Private Cloud Engineering Team and Project Managers, 3rd party data centre facility team, Networking team for infrastructure deployment, design, vulnerability remediation based on Dell VXRail or PowerFlex hardware You can research/design/test new Cloud services in testing env and guide administrators to implement it into the production Private Cloud. You will manage & administer backup solution for Cloud Platform You are not adverse in providing Levels 2 support & vendor escalations for Management tools & Cloud Services with on-call shift. You can develop & document operational procedures for service admin and operations teams. Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with client bank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk. Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills: 5+ years of hands on technical working experience as an infrastructure engineer with strong background in design, deploying, configuring and maintaining with Dell Powerflex Solutions (2 Tiers Deployment) or Dell VXRail solution 3+ years of working experience with design and/or deployment and/or manage and/or operational support of VMware VCF solution (v9.x or v5.x) (includes VC, ESXi, SDDC/Fleet Management, VCF Operations, VCF Automation, NSX etc.) 3+ years of hands-on technical working experience with design, deploy migration solution, also migrating VMware VMs between datacenters or on-prem to public by leveraging HCX, Platespin or other solutions. 3+ years of hands-on experience with other VMware Solutions (including vRealize Log Insight, vRealize Network Insight, SRM and vSphere Replication etc.).

5+ years of hands-on technical working experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2019/2022/2025 administration and/or Red Hat Linux administration 8.x/9.x administration. Good understanding of one of the following VM backup products: Cohesity and/or Dell EMC Data Domain (backup and replication) and/or Rubrik and/or Veeam, etc.(hands on technical experience is strongly preferred)

Nice-To-Have Skills: Experience Scripting ( REST API scripting, PowerShell & Python, VMware PowerCLI, Backup automation) Technical working experience with GCP (Google Cloud Platform) Working experience with design and/or deployment and/or manage of RedHat OpenShift Virtualization, and ACM/MTV Technical understanding of Networking, Storage & Security concepts, technologies and operational experience. Previous Banking/FI experience.

Soft Skills Required: You must have the skill to possess excellent customer relationship and communication (verbal/written/presentation) skills to both a business and technical audience (includes presenting solution design or lead technical discussion or generating technical design doc/testing reports, or be consulted by end users for app hosting solution etc.) Excellent interpersonal skills to be able to collaborate and work closely with external vendors. Ability to analyze complex situations and problems and do the necessary research using multiple sources of information to arrive at innovative solutions. Ability to work as part of a team, as well as work independently or with minimal direction. Good time management and organizational skills to effectively manage high scale project.

Education: •Completion of a post-secondary education in Computer Science, Engineering or in a related technology-based stream. Best VS. Average Candidate: -the ideal candidate would at least meet points 1-4 from must-have skills -GCP experience and scripting experience would be strongly preferred as well

Candidate Review & Selection 2 rounds •1st round interview – Technical interview with Principal Engineer/Team member (1 hour) – in-person preferred (scenario based technical questions) •2nd round interview – Director/Principal Engineer (30 minutes) – in-person preferred (personality fit)
