This posting is for one (1) unionized contractual appointment. A Teaching Assistant is a McGill Graduate Student employed to assist the Course Supervisor as a Teaching Assistant in a classroom environment. Teaching Assistant Positions are governed by the Collective Agreement between McGill University and the Association of Graduate Students Employed at McGill (AGSEM)****.

Position Summary:
This requisition is for one position, at 45 hours, in the Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology. Effective dates of appointment are August 30 to December 19, 2026. Course dates are August 31 to December 4, 2026.

Responsibilities may include:
- Marking
- Preparing Class Materials
- Taking part in Small Group Discussions
- Assisting Students' Learning
- Regular class attendance may be required. Candidates who apply for this posting should be available during the scheduled class time for this course (Mondays from 6:05PM to 8:55PM)
Qualifications:
- Must be a current McGill PhD or Masters level student with prior graduate/undergraduate study in the subject matter of the course (technology, multimodal literacy, media studies, instructional design)
- Must be comfortable with technology and different social media platforms
- Successful completion of EDPE 535 - Instructional Design and/or EDEC 612 - Digital Media and Learning is an asset
- myCourses experience may be required
- Knowledge in French may be required
