FIRESMART COORDINATOR - (Temporary, Full-time)

NATURE OF POSITION: Hiring one (1) FireSmart Coordinator. The FireSmart Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of the Regional District's FireSmart Program and implementation of Community Wildfire Resiliency Plans. Work is carried out under the general supervision of the Manager of Emergency Preparedness.

The FireSmart Coordinator has considerable contact with external agencies and the public. Evening and weekend work and travel to rural and remote areas may be required.

RATE OF PAY: $35.73 per hour (January 1, 2026 rate)

DUTIES AND QUALIFICATIONS: As set out in the job description.

BENEFITS: In accordance with the Collective Agreement with C.U.P.E. Local 1699. This is a Union position.
