ROLE DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Shipping Supervisor, the Shipper and Receiver is responsible for the material handling of all incoming and outgoing materials and product including order picking, shipping, and receiving, loading and unloading, and warehousing of product and materials. Job will also require working as Freezer Forklift Operator position. Position works in a fast-paced environment, operating mobile equipment and doing repetitive work.

DUTIES

• Accountable to accurately and efficiently perform duties to assist the flow of materials and products into and out of the facility.
• Perform general physical activities related to loading, unloading, sorting and moving shipments by hand or using mobile equipment.
• Examine shipment contents and compare with records such as manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy of shipment.
• Pack, seal, and label materials in preparation for shipping.
• Warehousing of products and materials in and out of freezers, coolers, dry goods storage, and loading dock area.
• Duties are performed in a multi-temperature environment.
• Responsible for conducting physical inventory counts for products, materials, and supplies.
• Accountable for ensuring mobile equipment is maintained and functional.
• Accountable to safely operate mobile equipment (manual and motorized) ensuring personal safety and employee safety.
• Accountable to adhere to and utilize Company policies and procedures, and HACCP regulations.
• Accountable to ensure a safe work environment for coworkers, customers, and visitors.
• Provide effective customer service to all internal and external clients/customers.
• Other duties and tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have had Mobile Handling Equipment Certification, with experience working with power jacks, forklifts, etc. Prior Class 1, 2 and 3 forklift license experience and certification an asset
• Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Minimum of one year shipping and receiving experience.
• Mathematical and organizational skills required.
• Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Please note that this is a temporary full-time position, ending on August 28, 2026

Wage: Over $26 / hour, Sick Days, Personal days, annual increases and more.

Shift:

• Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM Start (may be required to start at 8:00 AM, 10:00 AM or 11:00 AM), plus daily overtime and Saturday overtime as needed
