About the role

Northlands College is seeking a University Instructor, Sociology. The program will take place in any of our campuses: La Ronge, Creighton or Buffalo Narrows, Saskatchewan. The University Instructor is an in-scope position reporting directly to the Coordinator, University Studies. This role is responsible for organizing and delivering curriculum and course content that supports established program learning objectives. The instructor actively engages with students in the learning environment to foster positive and successful educational experience. Working within the university curriculum, the instructor promotes both academic achievement and personal growth, supporting students in reaching their full potential. Candidates must possess a Masters degree in Sociology and a minimum of two years of teaching experience. An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may also be considered. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of First Nations, Metis, and Inuit culture as well as the socio-economic and pedagogical factors associated with teaching this body of students is required. The term of the contract is 199 Instruction days The Term starts on August 24, 2026 and ends on June 22, 2027.
