Please Note : This is a temporary position, ending on or before June 30, 2027, with the possibility of extension. Reporting to the Procurement Coordinator and working directly with the Stockkeepers, this position is a member of the team responsible for the day-to-day receiving and delivery of all food and related products for Culinary Arts and Professional Food Studies. Regularly communicating with Instructors, Education Lab Technologists and all areas receiving product for educational delivery. As well as daily accurate computer data entry. Key Responsibilities Receipt and checking of standard food and related products against expected orders, requisitions and invoices. Acceptance of quality products or return of unacceptable product and ensuring that all shorts are recorded and reported to the Stockkeepers in assigned time lines. Perform routine receiving, storage, and shipping duties in stockrooms and warehouses, including checking deliveries for damage, shortages, and errors. Accurate documenting on all invoices, requisitions and in all applicable systems. Proper handling and/or storing of products adhering to strict receiving standards including proper food handling. Delivering products to all labs, ensuring proper communication to all stakeholders, both in person, email and Teams. Maintaining proper inventory counts as per assigned count cycles and updating digital records. Cleaning and maintaining of receiving area, procurement storage areas, and the dock, internal and assigned external area. Data entry of all invoices, reconciled requisitions to our procurement software; ReciProfity and as assigned. This position requires both physical abilities as well as seated office responsibilities. Skills & Abilities Good communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to details and accurate recording on all documents. Ability to problem solve and provide solutions. Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment. Experience working with food with a solid knowledge of various foods that you would find in a restaurant or similar environment. Beginner to Intermediate knowledge Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and Teams. Ability to operate a pallet jack and flatbed trolley (can be trained). Ability to lift 50 lbs. May require some evenings/weekends Must be able to work shifts with a start time of 6:30am or an end time of 4:15pm where coverage is require. Qualifications Completion of grade 10 Some experience in the receiving, storage and dispatching of materials and supplies Equivalent experience may be considered Detailed knowledge of Food Sanitation and Safety Standards and a valid Food Handling Certificate required General knowledge of HACCP, WHMIS, Occupational Health & Safety (ie. back care and proper lifting) Applicants with education credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentials evaluated by World Education Services (WES), International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) or the Comparative Education Services (CES). Classification – Stores Clerk This position is covered by the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE) Collective Agreement. Remuneration Refer to salary range noted on this posting, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
