Job Title: Head of Data Location: Remote Duration: Contract 12+ Months
Job Description: Program Overview A Finance and Operations transformation program is underway to integrate operational platforms, finance systems, ERP, and reporting solutions. The environment includes proprietary and internally developed applications with limited documentation, requiring a business-process-first approach to data and integration design. Role Summary The Data Lead will establish data governance standards and lead data architecture, integration, migration, and reporting initiatives. This is a hands-on leadership role working closely with IT, Finance, Operations, business stakeholders, developers, and external vendors. Key Responsibilities Establish data governance standards, ownership, stewardship, quality, security, and system-of-record principles. Design data and integration architecture across operational systems, ERP, and reporting platforms. Define data mappings, transformation rules, interfaces, reconciliation processes, and technical controls. Lead master data management, data migration, and cutover activities. Build and manage integration roadmaps, backlogs, and delivery plans. Coordinate internal teams, vendors, and implementation partners. Support testing, reconciliation, issue resolution, and go-live activities. Required Experience Data governance and master data management. Data architecture, integration, and data engineering. ERP integration experience, preferably NetSuite or similar platforms. Data migration, reconciliation, and cutover leadership. APIs, middleware, batch/file-based integrations, and reporting solutions. Operational systems supporting finance, billing, inventory, or reporting. Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, or similar data technologies. Multi-entity environments and vendor management. Preferred Profile Strong hands-on technical and analytical skills. Experience working with custom or poorly documented systems. Ability to translate business processes into scalable data and integration solutions. Strong stakeholder management and leadership capabilities with accountability from design through delivery and cutover.
