This position is eligible for a pre- employment hiring incentive of $5000 in return for a successful candidate accepting a job offer for this position. Note: Candidates are not eligible for the above if they were previously paid a pre- employment hiring incentive for a teaching position in the K-12 sector (in the 2023/2025, 2025/2025 or 2025/2026 school years under the provincial hiring incentives program.)

Qualifications For All Positions
The successful applicant must have or be eligible for certification to teach in British Columbia and possess:
necessary qualifications and/or experience in the teaching area/grade level posted; strong assessment practices, including assessment as and for learning; successful experience integrating local Indigenous culture and traditions into curriculum, or familiarity with and understanding of local Indigenous culture and commitment to integrate it into the curriculum; the ability to use a variety of teaching and learning strategies to accommodate the learning needs of all students; successful experience integrating experiential and/or inquiry learning opportunities into the curriculum; a proven ability to develop a positive learning environment in the classroom and evidence of strong organization and classroom management skills; a commitment to and successful experience working collaboratively in a team setting; a commitment to and demonstrated experience using and integrating technology into the curriculum; the ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and the greater community.
The salary range for full-time teaching positions within Gold Trail School District is $63, 735 to $116, 190 with placement in accordance with provisions in the Collective Agreement. The district offers a competitive benefits and pension package.
