Description: Students will learn to improve relationship building skills and learn to love networking. In this workshop, students will learn essential communication skills on how to shift their mindset from seeing networking as a necessary evil to creating opportunities for discovery, learning, and reaching their goals. Estimated course enrollment: ~ 30 students Estimated TA support: not applicable Class schedule: 2-hour seminar-style workshops; occurring Thursdays (timing to be confirmed) Sessional dates of appointment: September 1, 2026 – December 31, 2026 Salary (0.25FCE): Sessional Lecturer I - $4,998.74Sessional Lecturer I - Long Term - $5,349.61Sessional Lecturer II - $5,349.61Sessional Lecturer II - Long Term - $5,476.98Sessional Lecturer III - $5,476.98Sessional Lecturer III - Long Term - $5,614.45 Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail. Minimum qualifications: Masters degree. Preferred qualifications: Professional and/or academic experience related to the course material is preferred. Description of duties: Preparation and delivery of course content, including lectures and/or seminars; creation of courseware; the development and administration of assignments, tests and examinations; marking and grading of student work and the submission of grades to appropriate University officials, maintenance of reasonable hours of student contact outside of scheduled contact hours.
