About the role

The CPA Western School of Business (CPAWSB) is seeking a Senior Manager, Examinations Administration and Reporting to oversee the operational processes that support examination administration, marking operations, candidate results reporting, and governance activities within the CPA Professional Examinations program. This role provides an opportunity to contribute directly to the successful delivery of high-stakes professional assessments while supporting continuous improvement, quality assurance, and operational excellence across the examination lifecycle.

Reporting to the Director, CPA Professional Examinations, the Senior Manager is responsible for leading examination administration and reporting activities supporting examination development, delivery, marking, and candidate results processes. Working as part of the Exam Provider team, the role ensures examination operations remain efficient, accurate, secure, and aligned with organizational and profession-wide expectations.

The successful candidate will oversee examination administration processes, examination marking operations, candidate results reporting, Board of Examiners administration, and quality assurance activities. The role works closely with internal teams, contractors, markers, Board of Examiners members, vendors, and regulatory stakeholders to support operational readiness and successful examination delivery.

The Senior Manager will also play a key role in enhancing reporting processes, supporting data-informed decision-making, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of candidate examination information, and maintaining the accuracy and quality of examination results and performance reporting.

What the Successful Candidate Will Bring Education · Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. · Proficiency in both English and French is considered an asset.

Experience · Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in examination administration, candidate reporting, education operations, credentialing, regulatory environments, or related fields. · Experience coordinating projects involving multiple stakeholders and fixed deadlines. · Experience managing confidential and sensitive information in a high-stakes environment. · Knowledge of examination development, marking processes, candidate results reporting, or credentialing programs is considered an asset. · Understanding of technologies used to support examination administration and reporting is considered an asset.

Skills and Attributes · Strong organizational and project management skills. · Ability to manage confidential and highly sensitive information. · Strong analytical, reporting, and data interpretation skills. · Ability to exercise sound judgment in a high-stakes assessment environment. · Ability to collaborate and build relationships with diverse stakeholder groups. · Comfort working with data, psychometric concepts, and quality assurance processes. · Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and AI-enabled productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot. · Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

This role is eligible for hybrid work. CPAWSB is based primarily in Edmonton, Calgary, and Vancouver. Candidates located outside these centres may be required to travel periodically to a CPAWSB office or other locations as required.

The salary range for this role is $110,600 to $165,900. We recognize the value of directly comparable experience. Candidates bringing recent experience performing equivalent work may be eligible for salary and benefit placement that reflects that experience, in accordance with organizational compensation policies.
