Workday Data Migration Project Manager (Contract)

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid/On-site as required) Duration: Initial 3-month contract with strong potential for extension

We are seeking an experienced Workday Data Migration Project Manager to lead the data migration workstream for a large-scale Workday implementation. This is a client-facing leadership role requiring someone who has successfully delivered multiple end-to-end Workday data migration projects within complex enterprise environments. This opportunity is best suited to a seasoned Workday professional who can provide strong governance, stakeholder management, and delivery oversight while ensuring successful execution of the data migration strategy.

Important: Candidates must have extensive, hands-on Workday Data Migration Project Management experience. Key Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end Workday Data Migration workstream throughout the implementation lifecycle. Develop and manage the overall data migration strategy, plan, and delivery. Provide leadership and oversight across data extraction, cleansing, transformation, validation, reconciliation, testing, and production deployment. Coordinate cross-functional teams including HR, IT, Workday functional consultants, integration teams, and business stakeholders. Manage project governance, risks, issues, dependencies, and reporting. Drive stakeholder engagement and communicate effectively with senior client leadership. Ensure project milestones, quality standards, and delivery timelines are achieved. Establish and maintain appropriate project controls and governance throughout the engagement. Essential Experience Extensive Workday Data Migration Project Management experience is essential. Proven experience leading end-to-end Workday implementation projects with responsibility for the data migration workstream. Demonstrated success delivering Workday implementations within large enterprise organisations. Strong understanding of Workday data conversion and migration methodologies. Experience managing complex stakeholder environments. Excellent leadership, communication, and customer-facing skills. Strong governance, project controls, and risk management experience. Desirable Experience Consulting background (highly advantageous). Experience working with global or multi-country Workday implementations. Familiarity with Workday deployment methodologies and enterprise delivery frameworks.
