Application/Software Architect — BI & Systems Integration (Ottawa, ON) Idea Theorem Inc. is hiring an Application/Software Architect to join our team. You'll own application-level architecture and integration design across BI tools, databases, and custom applications. What you'll do: Design technical architectures and integration solutions across multiple systems (APIs, middleware, data pipelines) Conceive, design, and implement custom BI solutions end-to-end Evaluate and select technology platforms and frameworks Document system standards, data dictionaries, and interfaces Support stakeholder requirements-gathering and training/knowledge transfer What we're looking for: 5+ years as an Application/Software Architect delivering IT solutions 5+ years designing and implementing solutions in a BI environment Strong track record evaluating and selecting technology platforms Experience integrating multiple systems/data sources (APIs, middleware, ETL) Comfortable working across multiple programming languages (Python, SQL, Java/C#, JavaScript, R, etc.) Broad exposure to BI/data-discovery tools (Tableau, Qlik, Power BI, and similar) Public sector or regulated-industry experience is a plus Master's or PhD in a Computer Science-related field, Software/Computer Engineering, or Project Management preferred Canadian citizenship required — must be eligible for Government of Canada SECRET-level security clearance
