Rates: Independent contractor - $90/PH (no OT) Employee through CCL - $65/PH ($97.50 OT)
Project: CNRL Horizon project Location: Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada Duration: August–September Turnaround – 1st September likely start. Candidates with coker experience may be asked to start sooner. 35-50 days forecast. Schedule: 6 days on / 1 day off, 12-hour shifts
Travel Out-of-province candidates will receive a flight allowance between $300-$550 each way either into Edmonton/Calgary or direct to Fort McMurray. Alberta residents may claim mileage reimbursement up to $275 in accordance with the applicable CRA rate.
Required Qualifications CSO, CSTS, H2S Alive, Confined Spaces, Fall Protection certifications. Minimum 5 years' refinery, upgrader, bitumen or heavy industrial QA inspection experience. API 510 and/or API 570 certification (preferred). CWB Level II (CW2) certification with strong piping QA experience will also be considered. Strong knowledge of pressure equipment inspection and turnaround execution. Previous refinery turnaround (TAR) experience. Legally authorized to work in Canada. Able to pass site access, drug & alcohol screening and fitness-for-duty requirements. Highly Desirable
Overview Seeking experienced Senior QA Turnaround Inspectors to support a major refinery turnaround. The ideal candidate will hold API 510 and/or API 570 certification and have extensive experience inspecting piping, pressure vessels and refinery equipment during shutdowns. Candidates with CWB Level II certification and significant piping QA experience will also be considered. Previous coker turnaround experience is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities Perform QA inspections of pressure vessels, piping and plant equipment in accordance with inspection test plans. Inspect equipment at height and in confined spaces where required. Produce detailed inspection reports identifying deficiencies and recommended corrective actions. Maintain accurate inspection records in line with client QA procedures. Escalate defects requiring immediate repair to ensure turnaround schedule is maintained. Ensure compliance with client specifications, regulatory requirements and industry codes. Promote safe work practices and adherence to all HSSE requirements.
