About the role

Description This is a temporary contractor position for an existing vacancy.

We are seeking a Power Platform Developer to join our Data & AI Marketplace Delivery team at Hydro One. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and scaling enterprise-grade solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform to support data-driven decision-making and AI-enabled business transformation.

You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders across the organization to deliver high-impact solutions, integrating Power Platform capabilities with enterprise data, AI services, and cloud technologies.

What You’ll Do Design and development of Power Apps, Power Automate flows, and enterprise-grade Power BI solutions to support business operations and analytics Design and deliver interactive, executive-ready Power BI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making Develop end-to-end BI solutions, including data modeling, DAX measures, and performance optimization Partner with business stakeholders to define KPIs, metrics, and visualization strategies Build scalable and secure solutions aligned with enterprise architecture and governance standards Integrate Power Platform solutions with Azure services, APIs, Dataverse, and enterprise systems (e.g., Snowflake, SAP, etc.) Collaborate with business teams to translate requirements into functional, user-centric applications Drive adoption of best practices, reusable components, and solution accelerators Support deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement of solutions in production Work closely with Data & AI teams to embed AI capabilities (Copilot, AI Builder, Azure AI services) into applications Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and Responsible AI standards within a regulated environment Mentor junior developers and contribute to building a strong Power Platform capability within the team

What You Bring Technical Skills 5+ years of experience in Power Platform development Strong expertise in: Power Apps (Canvas & Model-driven apps) Power Automate (cloud flows & desktop flows) Power BI (advanced data modeling & visualization, DAX, dashboard design, and performance tuning) Proven experience building executive-level dashboards and enterprise reporting solutions Experience with Dataverse and data integration patterns Proficiency in Azure services (e.g., Logic Apps, Functions, API Management) Strong understanding of REST APIs, connectors, and system integrations Experience working with enterprise data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, SQL, Azure Data Services) Familiarity with AI capabilities in Power Platform (Copilot, AI Builder) is a strong asset Engineering & Delivery Experience delivering solutions in enterprise, regulated environments Strong understanding of ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) for Power Platform Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps) Ability to enforce governance, security, and design standards Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills Soft Skills Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to both technical and business audiences Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a focus on outcomes Experience mentoring team members and driving technical excellence Nice to Have Experience with Copilot Studio / Agent-based solutions Familiarity with AI agent development Certification in Microsoft Power Platform (PL-600, PL-400, PL-200, etc.) Experience integrating with Microsoft Fabric or advanced analytics platforms Why Join Us Opportunity to work on enterprise-scale AI and data initiatives Be part of a team delivering next-generation intelligent applications Collaborate with Microsoft and leading technology partners Contribute to building a modern Data & AI ecosystem within a regulated industry
