Hiring: C++ Developer - Capital Markets Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid) Employment Type: Contract Duration: Long-Term Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced C++ Developer with a strong background in Capital Markets, Python, and AWS to design and build enterprise trading solutions supporting multiple asset classes. This role is ideal for professionals who have worked on high-performance trading systems and are passionate about developing scalable, cloud-native applications. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain enterprise trading applications supporting Equities, Fixed Income, Futures, Derivatives, OTC, and FX. Collaborate with trading, operations, and technology teams to deliver innovative business solutions. Design scalable cloud-native applications using Amazon Web Services (AWS). Develop high-performance backend applications, APIs, and enterprise solutions. Enhance and support existing trading platforms and applications. Perform unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews to ensure high-quality software delivery. Prepare technical design documents, architecture specifications, and implementation plans. Drive technical decisions, architecture design, and best engineering practices. Implement DevOps practices including CI/CD, containerization, and infrastructure automation. Mentor team members and provide technical guidance throughout the development lifecycle. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects within timelines. Required Skills & Experience 10+ years of software engineering experience in enterprise application development. Strong experience working in the Capital Markets domain. Deep understanding of the complete trade lifecycle across: Equities Fixed Income Futures Derivatives OTC Products Foreign Exchange (FX) Expert-level programming experience in C++. Strong hands-on experience with Python. Excellent SQL skills including query optimization, indexing, joins, and aggregations. Experience designing enterprise-scale application architectures. Strong knowledge of: Object-Oriented Design Design Patterns Event-Driven Architecture Clean Code Principles Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS). Experience with DevOps practices including: CI/CD Pipelines Docker Kubernetes Infrastructure as Code Automated Deployments Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Skills Experience with FIX Protocol. Experience with Terraform. Knowledge of Bloomberg and/or Murex trading platforms. Experience with Java. Exposure to AI tools and Large Language Models (LLMs).
