Department/Unit/Program Description

The RMH Health First - Diabetes Education and Management Program provides assessments, follow-up and ongoing support for adults with pre-diabetes, gestational diabetes, Type 2 diabetes and Type 1 diabetes, including individuals using insulin pumps. Our team of experienced and passionate Clinical Nutrition Coordinators are committed to empowering individuals to self-manage diabetes and obtain optimal health. Providing client-centered care is a priority as the team works with each client, their primary care, specialists and other community partners to develop personalized care plans to meet each individual’s unique needs and lifestyle.

Position Summary

The Diabetes Clinic is currently seeking two Temporary Part-Time Coordinators, Clinical Nutrition to join their team.

Effective Date: June 15, 2026

Ending on or before: June 14, 2027

Essential Qualifications

Current registration with the College of Dietitians of Ontario Current certification as a Diabetes Educator Strong understanding of equipment and technology uses in diabetes management Demonstrated expert knowledge base of diabetes and the methods used to support patients with the diagnosis Baccalaureate Degree in Nutrition or Food Sciences Skilled and knowledgeable in adult teaching theories Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with the multi-disciplinary team and the members of the community Demonstrated high level communication, organization and time management skills Demonstrated knowledge in Word, Excel and PowerPoint and Epic Expertise in developing and maintaining excellent relationships with a broad range of individuals and partner organizations Demonstrated ability to work independently and efficiently Demonstrated ability to meet the attendance standard set by the Ross Memorial Attendance Awareness policy Must have a valid driver’s license and vehicle as some travel may be required Demonstrated performance within the current evidence-based guidelines Strong understanding of Delegated Medical Acts and the RD’s responsibilities when performing these acts Demonstrated belief in professional development and continuing education Must be able to fulfill physical requirements of the job, as per current Physical Demands Analysis

Hours of Work

Must be able to work day shift Monday to Friday. Shifts and hours may change according to departmental requirements.
