Pay Rate: $66.54–$99.00/hour, depending on experience
Contract Length: 1 Year
Location: Christina Lake North, Alberta (Fly-In/Fly-Out Camp)
Raise is currently hiring an NPI Planner & Scheduler on behalf of our client. This is an exciting opportunity to support one of Canada's leading energy companies by planning and coordinating maintenance activities for critical non-process infrastructure assets at the Christina Lake North site.
Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.
Description
The NPI Planner & Scheduler is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance and small capital work for non-process infrastructure assets at Christina Lake North. This includes supporting roads, buildings, camp facilities, utilities, aerodrome operations, fire protection systems, and other critical site infrastructure. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong planning capabilities, a commitment to safety, and the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.
Responsibilities
Planning & Scheduling
Develop and maintain preventive maintenance programs using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Plan and schedule maintenance activities for multiple trades, contractors, and service providers. Prepare complete work packages, including job plans, labour requirements, materials, tools, permits, documentation, and cost estimates. Create and manage work orders, preventive maintenance schedules, service requests, and purchase requisitions. Coordinate corrective maintenance activities and support execution of small capital projects.
Infrastructure Coordination
Support maintenance planning and scheduling for: Site roads and well pad access roads. Buildings, camp facilities, and non-process infrastructure. Aerodrome operations and supporting infrastructure. Potable water, wastewater treatment, waste management, and pest control services. Fire protection systems while ensuring compliance with applicable codes and regulatory requirements. Operational Support
Prioritize maintenance notifications based on safety, operational risk, and business priorities. Ensure work orders progress efficiently through the maintenance lifecycle. Monitor and support maintenance KPIs, including planning backlog, ready backlog, schedule compliance, capacity utilization, and maintenance costs. Provide planning and scheduling support for Turnaround and Outage events. Collaborate closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Supply Chain, and contractor teams to ensure successful work execution.
Safety & Compliance
Demonstrate visible safety leadership and promote a strong safety culture. Ensure compliance with company policies, site procedures, and safe work practices. Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on maintenance reliability, efficiency, and operational excellence.
Qualifications
Journeyman Trade Certification with a minimum of 5 years of industrial experience. Minimum 3 years of maintenance planning and scheduling experience. Strong experience working with CMMS systems. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment. Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Visio.
Preferred Skills
Experience using SAP Plant Maintenance (SAP PM). Knowledge of Management of Change (MOC) processes. Experience supporting facilities maintenance, water and wastewater treatment systems, fire protection systems, and camp infrastructure. Previous experience in oil sands, mining, heavy industrial, or energy operations.
Additional Information
Fly-In/Fly-Out camp-based assignment at Christina Lake North. Full-service camp accommodations provided. Rotational schedule (Wednesday to Wednesday). Travel provided through designated flight hubs in Calgary and Edmonton or bus transportation from La Corey and Lac La Biche. Night shifts required.
