About the Role We are seeking a high-impact Senior Scrum Master to serve as a driving force behind a critical vendor-based business management application implementation. This isn't a role for someone who just runs meetings; we need an Agile Delivery Lead who can navigate the complexities of a financial institution, hold teams accountable, and ensure we hit our delivery milestones. You will be partnering closely with business stakeholders to streamline, document, and automate back-office workflows. This is a transformation effort, and we need someone who can confidently bridge the gap between internal business teams and external vendors, bringing structure and clarity to a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

What You Will Do Drive Delivery: Take ownership of the full project lifecycle, proactively identifying risks, dependencies, and blockers before they impact the timeline. Influence & Navigate: Act as a strategic partner to business stakeholders. You must be comfortable challenging the status quo, pushing back on scope creep, and holding FTEs and vendors accountable for their commitments. Agile & Waterfall Integration: Manage hybrid delivery environments, ensuring we maintain Agile velocity while adhering to strict banking governance and Waterfall reporting requirements. Coach & Mentor: Guide teams that are new to Agile, helping them build maturity and autonomy. Vendor Management: Serve as the primary liaison between our internal teams and the external vendor to ensure technical and operational requirements are met on time and within scope.

The "Must-Haves" Banking Domain Expertise: Deep, hands-on experience working within a Canadian or US major bank. You understand the regulatory landscape, the culture, and how to navigate large-scale banking organizations. Senior Leadership Presence: You are proactive, assertive, and have a proven track record of leading teams through high-pressure delivery cycles. Passive leadership will not work here. Methodology Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in both Agile (Scrum) and Waterfall methodologies. Certification: Current Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent). Experience: A strong background in Project Management (PM) is highly recommended. You know how to manage a budget, a timeline, and a vendor relationship.
