About the Role The NDT Technician – Advanced will support upcoming offshore inspection work scopes within the Asset Integrity Management team. This role is responsible for conducting inspection activities in accordance with approved inspection plans, internal procedures, and applicable safety standards. The successful candidate will independently execute advanced NDT inspection methods, coordinate field inspection requirements, issue detailed reports, and ensure all inspection work is completed accurately, safely, and efficiently. This position will also provide technical guidance during the implementation of advanced NDT technologies, compliance audits, and new inspection campaigns. The technician will draft technique documents, support forecasting for future NDT technology projects, assist with manpower planning, and provide consultation to operating facilities regarding inspection challenges. In addition, this role will mentor technicians, assess competency, identify training and certification needs, and ensure inspection equipment is properly maintained, tested, and calibrated. Offshore travel will be required periodically, and all work must be performed in alignment with established HSE policies and safe work practices.

About You The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary certificate in a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant field experience. They will bring a minimum of seven years of experience as a field inspection technician and hold Level II certification in ET, RT, and UT disciplines of Non-Destructive Testing in accordance with CAN/CGSB-48.9712-2014 or an equivalent standard. Additional training and certification in advanced ultrasonic testing methods such as PAUT and TOFD would be considered a strong asset. This individual should be confident interpreting inspection requirements and making informed decisions on the appropriate methods and techniques to be used. They should have a strong understanding of advanced NDT technologies, be comfortable working in offshore environments, and be able to complete mandatory safety training required for offshore work, including work at heights and confined space entry. IRATA Rope Access Certification would be considered an asset. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-focused, technically skilled, and proficient in Microsoft Office, with the ability to produce clear and thorough inspection reports.
