Role: Azure Cloud Platform Architect 2 Days a week Onsite at Toronto, ON 6 Months (Possibility of extension)
Role Description The Azure Cloud Platform Architect is responsible for defining, leading, and governing Azure cloud architecture, ensuring secure, scalable, and compliant cloud environments aligned with enterprise standards and business objectives.
Roles & Responsibilities Define and lead Azure cloud architecture and landing zone design Establish enterprise governance framework, including: Management group hierarchy Subscription design Naming and tagging standards Cost management strategies Design and enforce Azure Policy and security guardrails Define Infrastructure as Code (IaC) standards and patterns (Terraform / ARM Templates, no manual deployments)
Architect secure cloud environments, including: Identity and access architecture (Azure AD, RBAC) Network topology (hub-spoke, zero trust, and other best practices) Data protection and encryption strategies Partner with engineering teams to ensure architecture is implemented correctly Review and approve infrastructure designs and deployments Drive cloud best practices, reusable modules, and automation frameworks Provide leadership in cloud transformation and migration initiatives Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and enterprise standards Mentor engineers and establish technical governance processes while adhering to company policy
