About the role

Cyber Security Solutions Architect 📍 Ottawa, ON (Hybrid) 📅 1-Year Contract (37.5 hours/week) 🔒 Must be eligible to obtain a Government of Canada Secret Clearance

We're looking for an experienced Cyber Security Solutions Architect to join a high-impact cybersecurity transformation initiative. In this role, you'll help design secure enterprise solutions, assess cyber risks, and guide the implementation of security best practices across cloud, on-premises, and emerging AI-enabled technologies. What You'll Do Design and assess secure architectures for cloud and on-premises environments. Develop security reference architectures, standards, and reusable design patterns. Perform threat modeling, security risk assessments, and identify control gaps. Partner with project teams to ensure security is embedded throughout the solution lifecycle. Support DevSecOps initiatives, including Secure SDLC, CI/CD pipeline security, SAST, DAST, and container security. Provide guidance on vulnerability management, remediation, and security best practices. Assess cybersecurity risks related to AI technologies and support secure AI adoption. Develop security policies, architecture documentation, and executive-level reports. Ensure solutions align with industry security frameworks and organizational governance standards.

What You'll Bring University degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or information technology. 3+ years of experience as a Cyber Security Architect, Security Solutions Architect, or Senior Security Specialist. Experience designing enterprise security controls, including: Identity & Access Management (IAM) Network Security Data Protection Security Logging & Monitoring Hands-on experience with cloud security (Azure and/or AWS). Knowledge of DevSecOps and secure software development practices. Experience conducting threat modeling, security assessments, and vulnerability management. Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-53, and ISO 27001/27002. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have Experience working within government or other highly regulated environments. Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or SABSA. Experience supporting AI security or enterprise AI governance initiatives. Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM, or AWS/Azure Security certifications.
