About the role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Financial Reporting Consultant to support a complex and time-sensitive financial reporting engagement for a 12 month contract. This role is ideal for a technically strong accounting professional with deep experience in IPO readiness, carve-out financial statements, and US GAAP reporting. The successful candidate will be a proven self-starter who thrives in ambiguous environments and can deliver high-quality work with minimal oversight.
Key Responsibilities Carve-Out Financial Statements Lead or support the preparation of carve-out financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards (US GAAP) Identify and resolve complex accounting issues unique to carve-out engagements, including cost allocations, intercompany eliminations, and stand-alone adjustments Ensure carve-out financials are audit-ready and meet regulatory requirements for IPO filings US GAAP Conversion Execute the conversion of financial statements from another GAAP framework (e.g., IFRS or local GAAP) to US GAAP Identify key differences between frameworks and document technical accounting positions Prepare or review reconciliations, disclosures, and supporting workpapers Financial Statement & MD&A Preparation Prepare or review complete sets of financial statements including balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement, and notes to the financial statements Draft and refine the Management Discussion & Analysis (MD&A) section, ensuring consistency with the underlying financial data and alignment with SEC or regulatory expectations Collaborate with legal, finance, and executive teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of all disclosures Audit Support Act as a primary point of contact for external auditors throughout the audit process Prepare and manage audit support packages, respond to auditor queries, and resolve open items in a timely manner Proactively identify and address potential audit issues before they escalate Ensure all documentation is organized, complete, and audit-ready
Qualifications & Experience CPA designation (or equivalent) required; Big 4 or large national firm background strongly preferred Minimum 8–12 years of progressive experience in financial reporting, technical accounting, or public accounting Demonstrated experience with carve-out financial statement preparation for IPO or M&A purposes Hands-on US GAAP conversion experience (IFRS to US GAAP preferred) Strong knowledge of SEC reporting requirements and public company disclosure standards Experience preparing or reviewing MD&A for prospectus or registration statement filings Proven ability to support and manage the external audit process in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have Experience with SEC filings (S-1, F-1, or 20-F) Prior experience in a specific industry relevant to the engagement (e.g., financial services, technology, healthcare) Familiarity with PCAOB audit standards
Pay Rate $70.00/Hour
