Senior IBM i (AS400/iSeries) Developer – Telecom Billing Systems Experience Required: 6–8 Years Location: Brampton, ON – Hybrid (2–3 Days WFO) Duration: 6–12+ Months Role Description Must be eligible for Government of Canada Security Clearance Hands-on IBM i (iSeries/AS400) technical expertise across: • RPG • RPGLE (Free Format) • CL/CLLE • COBOL • SQL/Embedded SQL • DDM • Display/Subfiles • DB2 for i • ILE Architecture • Batch Jobs • Scheduled Processes Experience in development, production support, troubleshooting, and technical leadership Experience working with telecommunications enterprise billing systems, including: • Billing • Rating • Message Processing • Accounts Receivable • Ordering • System Integrations using Web Services and MQ Proficiency with IBM i development and support tools, including: • VS Code • GitHub Copilot • RDi • Implementer (MKS) • Hawkeye • PKENCRYPT / PKZIP Experience with: • Development • Code promotion • Impact analysis • Troubleshooting • Environment management Strong documentation, impact analysis, and solution design capability, including: • Technical specifications • Process flows • Data mappings • Operational procedures Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to: • Lead junior developers • Manage priorities • Follow development standards • Perform peer reviews • Maintain delivery discipline • Ensure knowledge transfer and operational readiness across Business, QA, Operations, and other teams Essential Skills 8+ years of IBM i / AS400 experience, including recent hands-on Senior Developer responsibilities Strong capability in: • RPG/RPGLE • CL/CLLE • SQL • DB2 for i • Batch Processing • Legacy Application Support Experience in telecommunications billing environments preferred Strong estimation, planning, and technical delivery management capability Ability to: • Ramp up independently • Work with limited transition support • Collaborate with Business, QA, Operations, and cross-functional teams Additional Requirement Must be eligible to apply for Government of Canada Security Clearance
