Info Security Analyst Entry (Threat Intelligence Analyst) Location: Toronto, ON

Onsite Flexibility: Hybrid — 2 days per week in office

Contract Details Position Type: Contract Contract Duration: 12 months Pay Rate: C$50.00–C$55.00 / Hour (CAD) Shift / Schedule: 37.5 hours/week, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday

Job Summary The Operational Threat Intelligence Analyst within the Fusion Threat Intelligence Team is responsible for proactively identifying, analyzing, and reporting on cyber threats that may impact the bank's operations and assets. This role involves monitoring threat actors, trends, and vulnerabilities, producing actionable intelligence, and supporting incident response activities by providing timely and relevant threat assessments. The analyst collaborates with internal stakeholders to enhance detection capabilities, develops and maintains threat intelligence processes, and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements. Leveraging advanced analytical tools and methodologies, the analyst plays a critical role in strengthening the organization's security posture and enabling informed decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities Intelligence Cycle Expertise – Provide specialized advice, consultation, and analysis on intelligence issues and trends relating to cybersecurity, fraud, and corporate security, including in support of incidents, investigations and other Fusion use cases. Complete operational and strategic level analysis that captures high-level analytical insights and produce concise intelligence briefings meeting consumer needs; ensuring a high standard of service delivery. Provide expert advice/consultation to senior management on designing, implementing, optimizing and maintaining the intelligence cycle to inform and aid the protection assets, information, and people. Relationship Building – Develop and manage relationships with management and business leaders, including guiding collaboration with security pillars; providing knowledge of intelligence best practices and advanced collection and analysis techniques. Support to Key Stakeholders – Support complex incidents and investigations as an intelligence practitioner. Identify potential threats; take action and contribute to problem and event management to resolve as quickly and efficiently as possible. Undertake special projects with internal and external stakeholders, as assigned / required. Strategic Thinking Approach – Provide support to Fusion Centre management, team members and peers as required to support delivery of Fusion Threat Intelligence programs. Communication – Demonstrate exceptional ability to communicate in a clear, concise and logical manner, verbally and in writing; sufficient to convey complex information/ideas on issues involving interpretation and opinion, capable of ensuring senior leaders are kept aware of issues and provided informed and timely advice. Leadership and Team Player – Contribute to the development of intelligence analysts within the Fusion Threat Intelligence team and a healthy work environment. Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism and integrity; capable of creating a trusting work environment where the expression of diverse perspectives is encouraged.

Required Skills Knowledge of common security threats, industry best practices, security technologies and how they relate Previous cyber security environment experience Experience with Threat Actors and Attack Techniques External Monitoring experience Up to date knowledge of threat actors and current attack techniques Passion for thinking like an attacker Driven by collective success with a strong understanding of collaboration and inclusive teamwork Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism and integrity, capable of creating a trusting work environment where the expression of diverse perspectives is encouraged Values-driven; brings trust, teamwork, and accountability to the workplace

Preferred Skills Previous experience within the financial sector space Information security certification is an asset – CompTIA Security , CISM

Education Requirements Undergraduate level diploma required

Required Experience 1–2 years of experience in threat intelligence

Nice-to-Have Experience Previous experience within the financial sector space
