Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer I Location: La Prairie, Quebec, Canada (Onsite) Duration: 12 Months Contract Pay Rate: CAD 28/hr on T4 (all inclusive) Travel: Occasional travel to the US, France, and Italy.(expenses would be covered by the client)
Job Summary We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with experience supporting production and assembly operations in an industrial environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical assemblies, technical drawings, manufacturing processes, and ERP systems such as SAP. Key Responsibilities Provide technical support to production and assembly teams. Troubleshoot manufacturing and assembly issues on the shop floor. Read, interpret, and analyze mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and product specifications. Support BOM, routing, and configuration management activities in SAP. Collaborate with engineering, procurement, quality, suppliers, and project teams. Assist with investigations of non-conformances and implementation of corrective actions. Support continuous improvement and manufacturing process initiatives. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in an industrial environment. Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics. Experience supporting mechanical/electrical assembly operations. Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, preferably SAP. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. Fluency in both French and English. Preferred Qualifications Membership with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (Ing. or CPI). Experience with high-voltage electrical equipment, circuit breakers, or power systems. Hands-on experience with electrical cabinet wiring, panel assembly, and electromechanical systems.
