About the role
Join an exciting project to develop a cutting-edge esports tournament application designed for users to compete in games and win monetary rewards. This part-time, fully remote contract role is ideal for a mid-level application developer with a passion for gaming and a strong background in software development. You will play a key role in planning, building, and delivering a robust, user-friendly platform that supports seamless tournament experiences.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with stakeholders to define app requirements and user flows for esports tournaments Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance application architecture Develop core features such as user registration, tournament creation, matchmaking, and prize distribution Integrate secure payment gateways and ensure compliance with relevant regulations Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and optimization to deliver a reliable user experience Provide technical documentation and support for ongoing maintenance and updates Participate in regular remote meetings and provide progress updates
Skills And Requirements
Proven experience in application development, preferably with gaming or esports platforms Proficiency in relevant programming languages and frameworks (e.g., JavaScript, React Native, Flutter, Node.js) Strong understanding of backend and frontend development principles Experience integrating payment systems and handling secure transactions Familiarity with cloud services and scalable infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote setting Availability for part-time contract work and flexibility to adapt to project needs
